Polyester is dyed with dispersion or sublimation dye and heat. Beginning at 130°C the polyester fibres open and the dyes can dissolve in the polyester.
Depending on the process used, or the quality of the colouring, more or fewer dyes remain on the surface of the fibres. These dyes can then “migrate” on the surface of a transfer and stain it.
FlexCut Sticky SubliBlock II has two mechanisms in its multi-layered polyurethane design that prevent this. First, it can be transferred below 130°C, which reduces the amount of stray pigments, and second it has a "catching layer" which catches stray pigments and permanently blocks them. In other respects, FlexCut Sticky SubliBlock II is a "normal" flex film. It has very good covering power, high elasticity, and a soft hand.
In addition, it has very good weeding characteristics thanks to its adhesive polyester liners. The plotted and weeded scripts of designs are ironed on the textiles for 12 seconds at 110° C; after a short cooling period the mounting film can be removed. FlexCut Sticky SubliBlock II is suitable for polyester and blended textiles. It is not suitable for nylon and coated textiles. FlexCut Sticky SubliBlock II is wash resistant up to 60°C.
